Cranbrook Prospectus

Cranbrook is unique school in the state sector, as the only state grammar school in the country that is 13+, co-educational and caters for both day and boarding students. Situated in the village of Cranbrook in Kent, the school is a highly regarded are desirable school in the local area. This outstanding school prospectus is worthy of one of the top schools in the country.

The format is a combination of a folder and saddle stitched brochure which work hand in glove.

The 4pp folder has a 75mm glued pocket on the inside back cover. The folder is produced on our Colorset Nero 350gsm (100% Recycled) and is printed offset litho in one colour (pantone gold).

Size of the prospectus is A4, portrait with a 4pp cover which is cut short on both front and back. The cover is printed on our Colorset Crimson 270gsm (100% Recycled) and is printed offset litho in one colour (pantone gold) and hot foil blocked in metallic gold foil

 The crisp hot foil blocking 'lifts' the quality of the whole production without in any way looking 'bling' which, when overused, gold foil blocking can do. The combination of the print and foil is perfect.

The 20pp text is printed offset litho in CMYK on our StarFine White 150gsm. StarFine is a quality, uncoated paper and as the images show, the reproduction is excellent - great detail for an uncoated paper, colours are bright and vivid.

Another thing worth pointing out is the neat parallel creases on the folder. It's this sort of attention to detail that makes all the difference to literature such as this....

The Orangery

The Orangery is an exclusive wedding venue situated just outside Maidstone in the grounds of the old Turkey Mill, where paper was made for over 200 years. The site now boasts a business park and this stunning wedding location.

 

This is the marketing collateral produced for the venue, which includes the brochure, with inserts, together with compliment slips and business cards.

The brochure size is 230mm square and is saddle stitched. It has a 4pp cover with a 8pp text printed on Omnia 280gsm and 150gsm. The photography supplied by three professional wedding photographers, has reproduced brilliantly on the Omnia as has the light metallic gold solid areas and type. The whole job still has the tactility and natural uncoated feel that was required. The literature has a self-assured look and feel.

Tangerine goes blue!



We are Tangerine are a design and communications consultancy based in Maidstone who have a wide range of clients from property and leisure to the Church of England ( ...having the Almighty as a client, must be hard!)

 

As part of their recent re-brand, they have produced some swanky new business cards, which incorporates our Colorset 100% recycled papers!

The cards are produced using our Colorset Nero 350gsm, which has been duplexed by the printer to make 700gsm. The logo and web address have been hot foil blocked in gloss black foil. The address and contact details have been die-stamped (engraved) in a special pantone blue. The cards have been edge painted in a matching blue.

 

Design is by Claire Hobbs, Design Director at We are Tangerine.

These items were duplexed, die-stamped and hot foiled and edge painted by Downey. All beautifully done - and all done in house at Downey's factory in Great Yarmouth.

It's worth making the point that although we (at Fenner Paper) don't offer a duplexing service (as another well known paper merchant based in Hull does) ...there are some printers and many trade finishers that offer this service.
