Wrangler - Denim Performance

This is the season's promotional literature for Wrangler’s Denim Performance line and features Kimi Räikkönen.

This 10pp concertina brochure is 190x135mm, expanding to 190x675mm. It is printed in CMYK offset litho on our Omnia, White FSC 320gsm and is printed and finished beautifully. Birds eye view below:

Although this is a simple publication, it's often the simple jobs which don't get the attention to detail. This is well creased and folded square which is just perfect
Omnia was chosen because it would work with the rich detail that is present in the images but that would still give a natural look and tactile feel. As you can see from images, some of the photography is quite dark, but there is no loss of detail, which is what can often happen printing on an uncoated paper.
Art direction and design is by JJ Marshall Associates. Creative Director is Jethro Marshall and thanks to Jethro for sending me file copies.

Excellent print and finishing is by Principal Colour based in Paddock Wood, Kent.

Live in Denim is Wrangler’s new collection for women which incorporates Shape Keeper jeans using Lycra® and dualFX® to create stretch denim and silk soft jeans which achieves it's delicate touch through Cotton-Tencel® denim blends.

This 10pp concertina brochure is 190x135mm, expanding to 190x675mm. It is printed in CMYK offset litho on our Omnia, White FSC 320gsm and is printed and finished beautifully.

Wrangler - Heavy Soul

Every season, Blue Bell links up with an American artist. This Spring/Summer, the association is with sculptor and motorcycle collector, Jeff Decker. The landscape of Springville in Utah and his work provide the backdrop for the images in the collection.
The cover is printed in a solid gold metallic and has this most superbly detailed debossing.

The images show everything from the landscape to the casting of his sculptures (above) and of course the denim workwear (all made in the USA). Size is A5 portrait. It's "singer sewn" with an 8pp cover on Omnia 280gsm and 44pp text on Omnia 120gsm. Needless to say, as you can see from the images, they look great on the Omnia, reproducing bright vibrant colour together with the darker monochromatic images as well, keeping all the detail in the dark areas (it's just my opinion- but I would say that!)
The art direction is by Mark and Chris Thomson - yet another superb piece of art direction. Photography is by Boo George. The exceptional printing (debossing and finishing) is by Push.

Wrangler Bluebell SS11

This is the latest collection from Wrangler's premium men's line - Blue Bell. As you might expect from their top range, this piece of literature is produced to the very highest standard with superb art direction, photography and print reproduction.
This lookbook is A3 format size and has a 36pp text which is singer sewn along the spine with white thread. Now (unfortunately) we didn't supply the blue cover board - (it's that oh so predictable colour range from a well known paper merchant based in Hull ...guess who that is?!!!!) which is silkscreened in red and white. The 36pp text is printed on our Omnia 150gsm which gives it that dead matt, tactile feel but with great reproduction.

Art Direction, design and production is by Studio Thomson. The piece has a fantastic feel - solid flat areas of colour work amazingly well - it is difficult for me to say too much more about it - see the images below, they speak for the job...
...and here we go for a bit of a plug!  - As you can see from the above images above, there is lots of colour and images with CMYK dark areas - loads of ink going down and it looks great on the Omnia, reproducing bright vibrant colours as well and the dark mono images as well, whilst retaining detail in the dark areas (in my opinion- but I would say that wouldn't I?)
Below: a close up of the singer sewing on the cover.
The art direction is by Mark and Chris Thomson and the quality of the direction and photography (by Petrovsky & Ramone at Eric Elenblass Agency) is matched by the exceptional printing (and finishing) by Push.

Wrangler Bluebell - Fall/Winter 2010

This is the latest collection from Wrangler's premium men's line  - Blue Bell. As you might expect from their top range, this piece of literature is produced to the highest standard. Art direction, photography and reproduction is superb.
This project was produced in both an A3 format and an A5 format which is a bit ususual and a bit different. They both share the same images and number of text leaves - 24pp and are both singer sewn along the spine with blue thread. The text is printed on our Omnia 150gsm which gives it that dead matt, tactile feel but with great reproduction. Cover is printed on Colorset Nero 270gsm and is hot foil blocked in Blue metallic gloss foil.

Art Direction, design and production is by Studio Thomson. Both jobs have a fantastic feel - it is difficult for me to say too much more about it - see the images below, they speak for the job...
...and here we go for a bit of a plug!  - As you can see from the above images, there are lots of CMYK black areas - loads of ink going down and it looks great on the Omnia - I'm not going to use this a a platform to slag off other products, but there are one or two other papers on the market which people regard as being similar to Omnia - but there is no way that they print dark black images as well as Omnia and retain detail in the dark areas (in my opinion- but I would say that wouldn't I?)

The cover for the A5 version, has the addition of our Monoblack 1400micron board, mounted onto the front and back covers which gives the job a lovely solidity (click on image to enlarge):
Below: a close up of the singer sewing and the Monoblack, mounted on the cover.
The art direction is by Mark and Chris Thomson and the quality of the direction and photography (by Petrovsky & Ramone) is matched by the exceptional printing (and finishing) by Push.
