Vive Le Vodka Martini!

To create GREY GOOSE vodka, François Thibault maintains an unrivalled level of craftsmanship, using only the very finest ingredients. Its signature smoothness and distinct character are the result of an extraordinary passion for spirit making and an unparalleled commitment to the highest possible quality.

Grey Goose have produced this little booklet of Vodka Martini cocktails that can be made using their Vodka including a look at the history of the Martini and contemporary reinventions.

Size of the booklet is A6 (148x105mm) portrait and has a 4pp cover on Omnia 200gsm and 12pp text on 150gsm.

Omnia was chosen because it would work with the rich detail that is present on the cover image but that would still give a natural look and tactile feel to work with the beautiful illustrations used to accompany the recipes. Printed offset litho throughout.
As you can see from the image below, it sits open on it's own, so if being used in a bar, it will stand up perfectly.
...and as you will also be able to tell, it has been properly matrix creased and the saddle stitches are perfectly central. It's details like this that get noticed on smaller printed pieces like this.
Creative direction and design is by London based branding agency Ragged Edge and litho printing is by Identity, based in Paddock Wood, Kent.

Le Fizz

It's Valentine's Day and what better way to celebrate than with a cocktail...

To create GREY GOOSE® vodka, François Thibault maintains an unrivalled level of craftsmanship, using only the very finest ingredients. Its signature smoothness and distinct character are the result of an extraordinary passion for spirit making and an unparalleled commitment to the highest possible quality.

The Grey Goose, Le Fizz cocktail has the added ingredients of St-germain Elderflower Liqueur, freshly squeezed lime juice and soda.

This A6 recipe card and accompanying tent card is printed on Omnia 320gsm...
Omnia was chosen because of it's rich natural look and tactile feel. However, as you can see from images, the "Grey Goose Blue" is really rich and the solid has to print beautifully, which it does on Omnia. Reverse of card below:

Vive La Vodka!

To create GREY GOOSE vodka, François Thibault maintains an unrivalled level of craftsmanship, using only the very finest ingredients. Its signature smoothness and distinct character are the result of an extraordinary passion for spirit making and an unparalleled commitment to the highest possible quality.

Grey Goose have a list of cocktails that can be made using their Vodka and they also have a range of featured "Holiday Cocktails". and this 8pp menu/recipe card is for the Grey Goose Martini.
The size is 195x105mm portrait and is an 8pp concertina format printed on our Omnia 280gsm. Omnia was chosen because it would work with the rich detail that is present in the images but that would still give a natural look and tactile feel. As you can see from images, the photography is quite dark, but there is no loss of detail, which is what can often happen printing on an uncoated paper. The "Grey Goose Blue" is rich and the solid has printed beautifully. Printed offset litho throughout.

Omnia 280gsm is a very bulky board with a thickness of over 400microns. As you can see below it creases beautifully and this has been professionally matrix creased.

Grey Goose Alpine Cabins

Grey Goose vodka partnered with Radio Rooftop at ME London, to run a spectacular winter experience: Three luxuriously Alpine Cabins overlooking the London skyline together with a range of specially created Grey Goose Cocktails.

This is the piece of literature produced to promote the experience and to also list the exclusive cocktails.

The 6pp invitation is 220x145mm, portrait and is printed on our Omnia 320gsm, which is a very bulky board with a subtle, natural texture and tactile surface. Reproduction is superb and the reproduction of the wooden cabin planks reproduced on the outside, feels wonderfully tactile.
The invitation has been digitally printed on an HP Indigo press. The inside colours are strong and punchy and the invite has a matt, tactile look and feel - in fact I can honestly say, every bit as good as litho! Although Omnia was never originally developed for digital, we now keep it as a stock item with "sapphire treatment". This treatment is often applied to more unusual papers and provides a "key" so that the inks (which are different to litho inks) work on the paper surface. The great thing is the job just doesn't look and feel like a 'digital' job.

I must also mention two other aspects of the production. The cover is beautifully hot foil blocked (the printers, Ashwyk, have got hot foiling machinery in house)

...and it is also beautifully finished, well creased which means it folds well, sits square and folds flat too.

Print and finishing is by Essex based printers, Ashwyk. Thanks to Joe de Wykerslooth for giving me some file copies.

Grey Goose VX

Grey Goose VX is a pioneering new spirit, created by crafting Vodka with a hint of precious cognac.

This new spirit has been created by Grey Goose creator and MaÎtre de Chai, François Thibault. His passion for crafting extraordinary spirits began as a Cellar Master in Cognac and led him to create Grey Goose. By delving deeper into his expertise, Thibault has created a unique, new spirit - one that draws from past tradition, and expertly marries a hint of precious Cognac with Grey Goose vodka to create something truly distinctive.

This is a brand book produced to introduce Grey Goose VX. The size is an 'almost square' 210x190mm, with a 4pp cover on Omnia 320gsm and a 12pp text on Omnia 150gsm and uses singer sewing for the binding.
The cover is printed in "Grey Goose Blue" which is rich and the solid has printed beautifully. Printed offset litho throughout. The cover is hot foil blocked in silver (the goose) and in gold for the VX. The cover also has a debossed wave texture over the blue solid, stopping before the white border, so that's quite a tricksy bit of printing and finishing and it looks amazing

Omnia was chosen because it would work with the rich detail that is present in the images but that would still give a natural look and tactile feel. As you can see from images, the photography is wonderfully detailed and glass is not always the easiest thing to reproduce.
